India’s premium consumption story continues to strengthen, and Titan Company’s Q2 FY27 business update reflects this momentum. However, beyond the impressive growth figures, shifting gold prices, global uncertainties and upcoming festive demand present an interesting outlook.
Titan reported 25% year-on-year growth in its consumer businesses, compared with 20% in Q2 FY26. Domestic business expanded 22%, while jewellery grew 21%, against 19% last year. Watches & Wearables accelerated to 30% growth from 12%, while EyeCare surged 28% against 9% previously.
The company also added 78 net stores, taking its global network to 3,758.
Interestingly, Titan’s growth comes amid macroeconomic uncertainty. US bond yields, interest rate decisions, Middle East tensions and gold price volatility have influenced consumer purchasing decisions, with some buyers anticipating corrections while others expect further rallies.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Managing Director Ajoy Chawla expressed optimism about the upcoming festive and wedding season, highlighting resilient demand for natural diamonds and core jewellery.
While gold coin purchases have declined after previously growing 40–60%, Chawla emphasised that Titan’s primary focus remains jewellery for personal adornment rather than investment-led bullion demand. Adjusting for gold coins and festive calendar shifts, core jewellery growth could have been 5–8 percentage points higher.
Looking ahead, Titan expects stronger festive demand and potentially improved margins, supported by higher studded jewellery sales and contributions from watches and eyewear. The company also remains ahead of its long-term ambition of 20% annual core jewellery growth through FY30.
Nevertheless, gold price movements and global uncertainties remain important variables.

TITAN has yet to establish a convincing bullish bias.
Post-results selling pressure aligns with NeoTrader’s Well Set Bear signal, while the neutral short-term technical trend and bearish PCR indicate continued downside pressure and caution.
The question now is: Can festive demand and premiumisation sustain Titan’s growth despite macroeconomic headwinds, or will elevated gold prices test consumer appetite?
Titan’s growth is glittering — but will the festive season turn that shine into stronger earnings?
